Other than our store and website you will not find our superior quality, handset pearls anywhere else in the world. Blue Pearls are unique to New Zealand waters. They are Mabe Pearls cultured in Haliotis iris (also know as Paua or Abalone) shells. Each pearl takes 3 years to grow and is graded according to profile, lustre, surface quality and in some rare cases, colour. No two Brereton Blue Pearls are ever exactly the same. We also stock a wide range of other Pearls including rare and unusual Freshwater strands, Cook Island Black Pearls, Rare Golden South Sea Pearls, Tahitian Black Pearls, hard-to-find semiprecious stone pieces, Diamond Jewellery plus much more.
