Gitbox Rebellion's ten members play only acoustic guitars. The name proclaims the musical manifesto GITBOX being pigeon for guitar, the REBELLION is against the constraints of its own blues rock tradition. The groups ensemble approach blends jazz, classical, ambient, minimalist, and even heavy metal influences to produce a highly textured sound almost orchestral in scale, but don't be fooled though Gitbox is full of bright accessible hooks, interspersed with the moody, the melodic, the jaunty and the downright subversive.
