When Grant Hoey left school in Dargaville and headed to Auckland to make his fortune, he soon realised that working in an aluminium joinery factory wasn't going to cut it. So, always interested in property, Grant started climbing the property ladder with a section in Hamilton in 1992. He built his first home a few years later and bought an investment property. Over the next eight years he averaged an investment property a year. However, it wasn't until 2002 when Grant took the plunge and went into the property market full time that his property portfolio really took off. From investing in houses on the North Shore, Grant expanded into the central city market developing strategies that have produced remarkable results. Today Grant's portfolio of residential properties is significant, while his tutoring has guided over 150 others onto the road to financial freedom.
