Healthy Start Workforce Project

About & Description

We provide free workforce development programmes to health practitioners and promoters.

The Healthy Start Workforce Project provides free workforce development programmes for health practitioners. Our courses aim to strengthen practice and knowledge about the importance of nutrition and physical activity in pregnancy and the early years for life-long health. We have two courses: - Our online learning programme explores the science around the role of nutrition and physical activity in pregnancy and the early years for long-term health. - Our Healthy Conversation Skills workshop provides health practitioners with tools to help clients' achieve lasting lifestyle behaviour change. Both courses are free-of-charge thanks to funding from the Ministry of Health. Visit our website to find out more and to register for a course: www.healthystartworkforce.org.nz
