A small, country cottage on a working, sheep and beef farm east of Pahiatua. Self- catered accommodation. A short stroll across the paddock to the Makuri River -a wild trout, fly fishing river. Sleeps 3 $80.00 per night for up to 3 people. Bathroom ( with bath/shower ) Kitchen /dining room Sitting room Double bedroom with two single beds Single bedroom off carport Large deck Carport Our cottage is very simple, as it was in the 1950s - so not a lot of mod cons. Although great for fishing, the Makuri District is also excellent for walking or riding mountain bikes. Join the locals at the Makuri Country Club on Friday night for a drink or two.
