In 1988, Manukau City Council (now Auckland Council) became the first council to administer a facility especially for musicians. Over the years, OMAC has hosted both local and international music talent. The main hall is a rehersal and performance space available for hire, and is suitable for music, dance and other performing arts. With a capacity of 150 it is fully equipped with a lighting rig, sound system, green room, boxed staging and kitchen facilities.
