Rangi Ruru Girls' School is an independent (private) school for girls in Years 7-13. We provide the best school environment in the heart of Christchurch.

Founded in 1889, Rangi Ruru has a strong history and tradition of one of New Zealand’s best known and respected schools. It has an excellent reputation for academic success in a wide range of subject choices. Rangi Ruru is consistently placed amongst the top achieving schools in New Zealand in many academic, sporting and creative pursuits. With a roll of around 700 girls in Years 7 to 13, including 120 boarders, the school is small enough to ensure that individual student needs are met and big enough to offer an extensive range of subjects and programmes. Rangi Ruru is a christian school affiliated with the Presbyterian church. It is a safe and friendly school, with a close school community, strong pastoral care network and set of school values.
