South Auckland Education Fund

About & Description

Education Fund for Children needing Support and Protection

The South Auckland Education Fund is to provide funding for the Education, Boarding Fees and School Uniforms for disadvantaged and children at risk in there local communities. The aim is to place these children in colleges such as Wesley away form there local community where they may have been starting to get into trouble or under bad influence. The children are normally referred to us by social workers or the neighborhood policing team and it starts normally on a mentoring basis however we have some who need greater intervention, and there parents or guardians are financially unable to meet the costs. Schools like Wesley and the Wesley trust provide amazing support however uniforms and other fees are not totally met. To date we have supported Wesley as it is a rural school and the students benefit the isolation from there troubled families and communities. 100% of the funds go to the costs for the students and no administration fees taken.
