Sterling Warmbloods is a small dressage stud in Auckland. Owners Sheena and Dermot Ross are devoted to using the very best international bloodlines to breed dressage horses suitable for both amateur and professional riders. The Hanoverian breeding program is second to none in supplying the sort of stallions we love. We have horses by Dancier, Don Frederico, Sandro Hit, Sarkozy, Sir Donnerhall, Wolkentanz I, and Furstenball. We will be breeding to Don Frederic, Don Index and Sir Donnerhall in 2014 and 2015. Our broodmares are Hanoverian Studbook mares. They were bred by frozen semen and have been assessed as either Elite or Premium studbook mares. Our horses which are now under saddle have been brought along carefully and kindly. The basics are well established. We have a proven system of breaking and producing our horses for competition. As Sheena has become more experienced with these lovely Hanoverians she has placed emphasis on the importance of the selection of the bloodlines for trainability, and also a systematic approach to their training and feeding regime.
