Student Pulse is a student association that is student led and provides services and support for all students of Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology. We help you make the most of what student life has to offer. Everyone enrolled for study at Toi Ohomai can access all the services of Student Pulse including whanau support, wellness and care support. Student Pulse continues and celebrates 40 years of student voice in the Bay of Plenty at tertiary education providers. We are also members of the New Zealand union f Student Associations.

We have a long and proud history of supporting students. Formed in 1978, we became an incorporated society in 1979. Student Pulse is a separate organisation from the academic institution. We operate as an independent, not-for-profit organisation and registered charity, overseen by a student executive voted in by students each year. We work in partnership with academic providers to improve your student experience. WHAT WE DO: We amplify the student voice and foster a strong campus community culture bringing together students, tutors and the institute. We provide a safety net for students by providing help and support on all areas of life to help students achieve success. OUR VISION: The Student Association represents and supports an inclusive and vibrant student community where all students reach their full potential and enjoy exceptional student experience. OUR MISSION: We get student’s stuff sorted. We are passionate in supporting students to succeed. We believe in equity for all, building a strong student community with real influence and delivering holistic student wellness and care. WHAT THIS MEANS FOR STUDENTS We remove barriers so you feel comfortable asking for help. We focus on making sure you have: Somewhere to go for help providing peace of mind. Student Pulse is run by the students for the students and helps in all aspects of campus life from entertainment and socialising to academic support and welfare. We are the Student Association for Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology and provide services and support to help students make the most of what campus life has to offer. Formerly known as WITSA - Waiariki Institute of Technology Student Association - we announced the change in our trading name to Student Pulse in February 2017.
