The University of Auckland Video Gaming Club (UAV) was established to provide a platform for students to share and develop their passion for video gaming and its associated culture. The gamer base at UoA is large and diverse, and as such the UAV caters to all skill levels and game choices across both PC and console platforms, with the overall goal of the club being to develop a diverse, fun, competitive and social community. The UAV aims to: 1. Provide an avenue through which individuals with a shared interest can network 2. Develop a diverse community which will enhance its members university experience 3. Provide events for the development of skills 4. Provide competitive events both intra-university, and inter-university, thus advocating friendly rivalry, competitive spirit and teamwork 5. Promote, foster and encourage a fun and friendly environment 6. Develop awareness of gaming as a competitive team and individual sport 7. Develop avenues for individuals and teams to enter competitive events 8. Provide an array of events year round, including semester breaks 9. Be the most badass club on campus
